Welcome
“Thank you for visiting the Milford Primary School website.”
Dom Magner, Headteacher
Welcome to Milford Primary School. You can find us near the centre of Clifton
which is in the south of the City of Nottingham. Our school is a very happy,
exciting and purposeful place to be, where our key aim is for all children to
reach their full potential and enjoy learning.
The standards of behaviour at our school are exceptional and our visitors
frequently comment on the politeness of our children. The way our whole
school community treats one another is hugely important to us. We want
our children to be good citizens as well as good learners.
In recent years we have made great progress with our academic performance, ICT, Sport, Music and Outdoor Learning.
We have been awarded Gold Award from Nottingham in Bloom for the Best School Grounds in 2010 and won a Gold Award in
2011 East Midlands in Bloom for Best School Garden. We also won the Most Active School in the first Nottingham City
Sports Awards in 2010. Currently we are City and County champions in Tag Rugby, while winning a range of other sporting
trophies in football and athletics. Our musical provision is also developing with our excellent school choir performing
at a variety of venues. All children have a talent and that talent can be nurtured at our school.
I do hope you enjoy the opportunity to find out more about us on our website
which is intended to provide parents, carers and children with a full picture
of the varied life of our school. Our website will provide information about
each class, the ongoing work across school, key dates, information about
Governors, after school clubs and a whole lot more. We welcome current and
prospective parents into our school to see for themselves how children learn
at Milford, confident in the knowledge that they will be impressed by what
they see.
