Milford Primary school has now provided all our children with free
access to a fantastic bank of Literacy, Numeracy, Science and French
activities designed for all children’s abilities from ages 3 to 11.

Class 1 and 2
Children have Bear words to practise. They need to learn to read and write them.
The children have a reading diary and we expect them to read every night. We ask that an adult writes in the reading diary, the books that the child has read.
Class 3
Homework is handed out on a Friday and checked the following Friday.
Children are expected to read for 10 minutes every night and prizes are given to those that do.
Class 4
Homework is put in their reading diary on a Friday and checked the following Friday.
Reading Diaries are expected to be filled in every day. There are rewards for those that read every night in a week and during a half term holiday.
Class 5
Homework is given out on a Monday and is expected back on a Friday
Year 1 children have a homework booklet with a mix of literacy and maths tasks.
Year 2 children have homework put into their reading diary. This is also a mixture of literacy and maths.
As part of their homework, all children must read for 10 minutes and Year 2 children are to write in their reading diary.
Class 6
Homework is handed out on a Monday and collected in on a Friday.
Spellings are given out on a Wednesday.
Class 7
Homework is given out on a Tuesday and collected in on a Monday.
Class 8
Homework is handed out on a Monday and collected in on the following Monday.
Spelling homework will be handed out on a Thursday and will be collected in on the following Thursday.
Class 9
Homework is handed out on Monday and collected in on a Friday.
Class 10
Homework is given out on a Monday and collected in on the following Monday.
1 sheet of literacy and 1 sheet of numeracy.
Class 11
Homework is handed out on Monday and collected in on a Friday.
Class 12
Homework is given out on a Friday and collected on the following Friday.
Children are expected to read and complete their reading journal every night.
